red specialises in recruiting for immediate starts and complex roles, with a skilled team of resourcers and a large database of pre-vetted candidates. Some clients prefer red’s consultants to handle interviews and offers. Each client is assigned a dedicated point of contact who oversees the recruitment process and works with the recruitment team and Temporary Workforce Management for compliance. When an assignment ends, red manages all communication with workers regarding their exit.

What is the STAR approach?
The STAR approach is a universally recognised communication technique designed to enable you to provide a meaningful and complete answer to questions that require examples.
Using this approach in your interviews will help you structure a clear and precise answer, many interviewers will be familiar with the STAR approach and will recognise its value when used.
S – Situation
T – Task
A – Action
R – Result
1) Describe the situation or task; set the context, make it concise and informative
2) Talk about what you did and how you did it; highlight any skills you used
3) What happened? How did the event end? What did you accomplish? What did you learn?

What should I wear to an interview?
We would always advise our candidates to dress smart, first impressions count. We understand that you may not have a suit in your wardrobe, but please wear your smartest trousers or skirt and shirt or blouse. Our team will be happy to check your outfit beforehand and make any recommendations they feel necessary.
Where is your office? Do I need to travel in person to register?
Our office is based in Bristol but as we recruit all over the UK, we do not expect you to visit us in person. We complete all our interviews virtually and as long as we see you on the video call and have checked your ID we can register and represent you. You are more than welcome to visit us in person if you would prefer, our team will be happy to meet with you but please don’t feel obliged.
What form of ID can I use as part of my ID check?
We can accept either your Passport or Birth Certificate. If you are using your birth certificate as form of ID we will also require proof of your National Insurance number.
Additionally, we also require proof of your address in the form of a bank statement or utility bill dated within the last three months.
We will be required to not only check these documents during our online interview but also require a copy to be sent to us.
What paperwork do you need from me?
Permanent and Temporary Positions
As well as the accepted ID documents, Red will require you to complete an Application Form. You will receive this before your interview with Red.
Temporary Position
Red’s temporary workers will also be required to complete a Temporary Workers Pack, which will be sent to you after your interview with Red.
Once the position has been offered and confirmed to you, you will be sent an additional pack of documents that need to be completed. These documents include a bank details form, P46 and an employer reference form. Red’s Temporary Workforce Management team can help you if you have any issues with completing these.
I am a temporary worker and I have a payroll query. How do I get in contact regarding this?
Please email your query to payroll@red-recruitment.com, this mailbox is manned everyday and you will receive a response promptly.
Do I need a CV to register with Red?
No. To register with Red you do not need a CV, our Consultants will speak with you regarding your experience and will put a CV together for you.
Can Red help me write my CV?
Yes. Red can help you with writing your CV, this can range from making small amendments to writing the CV from scratch. Additionally, if you just want some feedback, the team will be happy to provide this.
What are your opening hours?
Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 5.30pm.
